Elle and Housewife – I admire your honesty. I get so sick of hearing the washed up fuzziness of what we’re supposed to think and feel about male behavior. Society looks down on women who have an issue with these facts of life. Society says that these things are only natural and we should deal with it. The problem is, these behaviors are devastating to a relationship: men and women. Male behavior is devastating to men because they do not take care of their women’s emotional needs while making her feel worthless. Male behavior is devastating to women because they are neglected and become resentful; this resentment leads to borderline rage that boils under the surface of skin day and night.

But society says just accept it and be glad he’s not cheating – it’s natural and this behavior will never stop. It’s true, I guess, but it’s no wonder that women are always angry with their men.

Agreed. Every man I’ve ever met who claimed to prefer natural beauty has always chased the unnatural. They say they prefer someone who doesn’t wear makeup, or spend countless hours working on their appearance via clothes hair skincare, etc. but when I’ve observed these men, they always get instant wood when looking at the women who take much time for those things. There’s only been one man who truly did find natural women beautiful. This preference was obvious across the board, when we went out watched tv, etc. But even he admitted that it was more about the “natural look”, and he admitted that natural makeup can enhance a woman to look more healthy and vital – which is what he liked in a woman.

There are some really brilliant men out there; truly enlightened and self aware but there are also a lot of men who lack critical thinking skills. They lack the ability to truly look at their selves and their behavior objectively, and then come up with a conclusion. For, if they could do this, they’d see the hypocrisy they present on this issue of make up.

bullshit

i have seen women without makeup that look much hotter than those with makeup at university and I definitely prefer the ones without makeup.

makeup = covering up your face = lying and I hate people lying including myself when i have no choice but to lie even when it’s a white lie.

oh gosh elle! you are so so SO right! it’s like, a man will never feel content enough with his wife, will he? even if she is miss angie jolie! or marilyn monroe. they get bored very very easily. what’s the cure for that? maybe check out new guys everytime the man checks out new women, right? and talk about handsome stars, ogle them and all that whenever they start doing his with the pretty MAKEUP stars.

maybe that’s the only cure i could think of for now

we women get bored as well, but we try our best to take care of our man’s feelings. but men? they don’t have the decency to at least not check out other women or admire other women in front of us. so try doing that to them and see how they will feel. really how could you be so careless about someone you supposedly care so much about?

Funny article. Men say that ridiculous crap about make-up, etc. because makeup takes a long time to put on, so they’re inconvenienced. It gets on their clothes. It tastes funny when you kiss them, etc. Yes, they look at the hot made up women on TV and don’t even understand really the preposterousness of saying you would look better without all that “goop” The only reason they care about the goop is because of how it affects them!

Besides, I have a theory. Once you’re with a guy he pretty much stops noticing your looks unless they change in a negative way. You really do look good enough for him. He’s into the looks of new women. You’re the old cow. So as long as you look f-able, you’re okay. Fancy up, change your hair do, whatever. Still same old you, he doesn’t notice. Gain a lot of weight, develop a horrible rash, he notices that because you will kill his boner. LOL.

So yes. You can’t compete with movie stars or even new hot women for your man’s attention. The only thing you can do is look the best you can for you and forget about those other chicks. Unless you can transform yourself into a much hotter model and then he’ll still get used to you and look at other chicks. Men will ALWAYS desire other women physically even if he loves you to death. That is their nature. Your job is to not look any worse so you can at least serve as a doable substitute.
