Every so often we all need a makeover. I’m sure that anyone that follows the iconic star, Madonna, will know that she is constantly re-inventing herself. This has had a tremendous effect on her career. Going from an unknown singer in her teenage years to a complete superstar in her forties and still looking brilliant.
How does she do this?
Well apart from keeping her body in tip top shape she has utilized her assets. She is not perfect but she is canny enough to keep one step of the crowd. Not for her the same old look but a complete regular change of hairstyle and makeup.
Reasons for you to have a complete makeover
- You’re stuck in a rut ie wearing the same old clothes and makeup and hairstyle you’ve worn for years
- You haven’t received a compliment for ages
- You just feel dowdy
- You don’t like yourself
- You have clothes in your wardrobe which haven’t seen the light of day for over a year
- You are still wearing the same eye makeup you wore 10 years ago
- You wear the same eye make up in the daytime as for night time
Need I go on? One thing is obvious. You are in need of a wake up call.
How to create a new you
- Take a long hard look in the mirror
- Ask a friend you can trust for an honest appraisal
- Drastic but throw out or give away to charity those clothes you do not wear any more
- If you can afford it go and splurge on a few good basic items. Choose classic clothes that will give you true fashion value for a long time
- Find the colors that really suit you and refuse to wear any other
- Focus on your good points and, believe you me, we all have at least one good point we can accentuate
- Check out the latest magazines for up to date and fashionable products
Now for your eyes
- Learn how to emphasize your eye color
- Use the right makeup tools
- Dispose of all your eye makeup that is over 6 months old: ie hygiene- do you really want bugs on your eyes?
- Think about the best makeup in the world. As far as I am concerned it has to be mineral based makeup
- Follow the look of someone you admire-ie a friend who always looks cool or a celebrity that has the look that you want
What you have learned
Never think that you are past it. Just re-invent yourself. Not only with new eye makeup but a new style of clothes. New colors and new fashions, equals
