I totally agree with the above two posts. “When fashion changes” – a lot of people don’t do it for fashion… I took mine out only because it was rejecting even though I took proper care of it. Some people’s piercings reject in a month, 6 months. Mine was over a year, so it wasn’t from unproper care.

Not all of us are that much of an idiot and think that peer pressure is IMPORTANT.
Excuse me, but before you write an article, please look the subject up and gather more info than that of prejudices.
If you clean your piercing daily and go to a reputable piercer that knows what they are doing, then it will surely heal. If you don’t play with it or twirl it around, nothing bad happens.
If you are an idiot who thinks you can walk away from the piercer and have to never touch it again, then you are doomed to scars.
Piercings aren’t only for the ‘fashionable’ or the ‘peer-pressured’. They do have other meanings.
