Well, apparently studies have revealed that this delightful unguent gathered from the secretions of snails ( extraviada natural Alantonia) can actually improve, even rejuvenate, problem skin. Even acne can be cured. An added bonus is that the cells of the skin plump up, having an effect on wrinkles.
The advantage to humans was discovered after workers in a snail farm found that the skin of their hands was baby soft after handling the snails all day. It was discovered that snails can regenerate their shells when damaged or diseased. Therefore its obvious (surely) that what restores a snails shell can have equally astounding reaction on human skin.
There is an enterprising pharmaceutical company now adding this slimy product to one of their creams and packaging it as a brilliant acne/wrinkle cream.
The extra ingredients are Allantoin, Collagen, Elastin, natural Antibiotic Peptides, Proteins, Vitamins and Glycolic Acid.
I, for one, don’t even want to eat snails let alone put slimy snail rextract, however prettily packaged, onto my face. However, who knows, maybe it does work and may stop gardeners world wide trying their best to rid their garden of them and after all if all else fails…..
