Do Anti-Wrinkle Creams Slow Down Aging?

For years people have been trying to defy their age and perhaps one of the best non-surgical interventions is anti-wrinkle creams.

The cosmetic and pharmaceutical companies are constantly breaking new grounds with developments in the race to sell to the public a more effective product, with the ultimate goal of the all time great age defying permanent anti-wrinkle cream that will corner the market.

Through years of research it has been discovered that a variety of natural ingredients and vitamin extracts significantly help slow down and can even reverse the signs of aging skin, depending on how badly lined the individual is.

Many people are skeptical of anti-wrinkle creams but tests have shown that it is possible to  take years off your age by using them.

The effect each one has depends on how you use it and what ingredients are in the cream.

Below is a list of some ingredients that you may find in wrinkle creams and what they do for your skin.

  • Alpa Hydroxy Acids (AHAs)

The results you see will depend on which cream you use. Those of prescription strength obviously contain more of these special ingredients, so you will see a greater reduction in wrinkles.

Be sure to read the bottles as some will try to jack up the prices but in all reality the ingredients may be the same as in a less expensive make.

You should have a regimen in place when fighting wrinkles.Your overall results will be much better when you follow a specific plan.

  • Use sunscreen as the sun can cause your skin to show signs of aging.  When buying such things as lotions, make up or skin creams, opt for ones that have sunscreen included.  This will eliminate one step you will have to do daily.

  • Apply moisturizers daily as they keep your skin looking fresh and hydrated.  When your skin gets dry, that is when wrinkles show the most so you want to be sure to keep your skin looking and feeling its best.

  • Most importantly, you should not smoke.  Smoking has been proven to damage the collagen and elastin in your skin therefore your skin will begin to age prematurely.

In spite of the vast improvements that anti-wrinkle creams make to the skin, there is no magic wand available yet. Allow the cream time to do its work and if one cream doesn’t work for you move on and try another.

Don’t forget that to gain most benefit the creams must be used on a daily basis over a period of time in order to see the results, but for some of these products, the results can be great!

    Hi

I am so glad to hear from you both and you have really taken on board how important it is to not only use cream to protect the delicate under eye area but to find one that actually suits your skin.
